United Autosports are excited to confirm their attendance at the 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed with a fantastic six-car line up.

The team will be running three cars up the famous Hillclimb, including the 1978 Lotus 79, 1974 Lola T332 and the 1991 McLaren MP4-6. Alongside these three cars, the 1989 Penske PC18 and 1991 PC20 and the 1987 Lola T87 will be on display at the event in the IndyCar tent.

The Lotus 79, originally driven by Mario Andretti in the 1978 Formula One World Championship was a ground-breaking tech marvel and will once again be driven by Mario Andretti at Goodwood. The Lotus 79 was the last Lotus to win the Constructors’ Championship and the Drivers’ Championship with Mario Andretti. Mario will also be getting behind the wheel of the Lola T332, which originally raced in, and finished second in the 1975 F5000 championship.

In collaboration with McLaren Racing, Ayrton Senna’s 1991 McLaren MP4-6 will be driven by Formula One World Champion and Indy 500 winner, Emerson Fittipaldi. The 1991 Formula One McLaren took the Constructors World Championship with Senna at the wheel.

All six cars on show at the Festival of Speed are owned by Zak Brown and are looked after by United Autosports Historic Motorsport department. The team is responsible for a huge range of fantastic race cars, which they restore from the ground up as well as preparing for historic race events throughout the year.

United Autosports last attended the Festival of Speed in 2019, as part of their role as Ligier UK agents, showcasing several Ligier sports cars, including Jacques Laffite’s 1979 Formula One car, as well as the original Ligier JS2 and their newest sports car the Ligier JS 2R.

Goodwood Festival of Speed will take place from 8-11 July. A two-hour live television broadcast is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, with live streams available over the whole weekend on the Goodwood Road & Racing website.
