United Autosports returns to Spa-Francorchamps for a double-race weekend, with the return of the the Michelin Le Mans Cup series for the final two rounds of the season.

After a lengthy break for the four Ligier JS P320 entries, the last race in Monza back in July, the whole team and drivers are refreshed and ready to get back racing at the Belgian iconic circuit.

After an impressive qualifying performance from John Schauerman at Monza, running in the top 10 for the majority of the race, and Wayne setting fastest laps, the #23 crew look favoured to have another strong weekend at Spa and continue to fight their way back into championship contention.

Andres Latorre and Garnet Patterson, after a string of unfortunate race incidents at the last few rounds, are excited and prepared to extract the potential of their race car around the 7km endurance circuit. They currently sit only one point off the top 10 in the championship, and with a solid race weekend, could easily get themselves back into the mix.

Andy Meyrick and Daniel Schneider will be returning to Spa for the third time as a pairing for the Le Mans Cup, with strong qualifying performances from Daniel but the inability to convert them into a solid race performance due to race retirements, the pair are determined to finish this season on a high.

Shaun Lynn will return to the #2 car, alongside son, Max Lynn after he was unable to race in Monza due to historic racing commitments.  After a strong performance for the #2 car, finishing 15th, their highest race finish to date, the duo will be looking to carry that momentum forward here at Spa.

Shaun Lynn:

“After missing Monza because of Classic Le Mans I can’t wait to get back in the car, especially at Spa which is such an iconic circuit with its undulations and erratic weather.”

Max Lynn:

“Spa is one of the most iconic circuits in the world and to be able to race there in an LMP3 car in the Le Mans Cup is a real privilege. I’m back sharing with my dad this weekend which is always amazing fun, and we are hoping to push for a strong finish in Spa”

Andres Latorre:

"It was a long break. Too long I would say, so I can’t wait to get back in the car! I love Spa as a track and it helps that last year we had good race pace here. "

Garnet Patterson:

Excited to be back racing, Spa is always a cool circuit to race at with the added gravel traps and the high speed corners and straights. Hopefully we can have a good weekend and finish the season strong.”

John Schauerman:

“I am looking forward to racing at this awesome track, and getting a good result.  We have done well at Spa and will be fighting for a podium at this race.  The season overall has been good and a few little mistakes have hurt us in several races.  United Autosports has provided an excellent car and team and we plan to put it all together at the SPA weekend.  I will try to give the car to Wayne Boyd in a decent position, and he can then work his magic. Spa is my favorite track!”

Wayne Boyd:

“I’m really looking forward to Spa after such a long summer break. It’s definitely my favourite track we go to and we’ve had a great success there too. We had a great test a couple of weeks ago to get back into the swing of things so I’m sure we’ll hit the ground running and be on for a good result!”

Daniel Schneider:

“I cannot wait to get back into the car, it’s been good to have a summer break but I am ready to have a great weekend with Andy and the team. Spa is a really cool circuit and it’s always fun driving around it so hopefully we can finish the season on a high with two races remaining.”

Andy Meyrick:

After a long break I am looking forward to getting back in the car with the team and Daniel. We had a test earlier in the year here and Daniel showed really strong pace so we just need to convert that into a strong race performance. It’s always good being back with United Autosports and I’m looking forward to a good weekend.”

Charlie Kemp, Le Mans Cup Team Manager:

"After a long break the Le Mans Cup team and drivers are prepared and excited for their return to racing. A track as iconic as Spa is always a favourite for the drivers so I know that everyone will be looking forward to getting out on track and extracting the maximum in the race. We still have two rounds to go and will be fighting for championship points until the very end."
