CAR #22

Phil Hanson: “Sebring is a great event to kick off the 2023 season. After last year’s opening round not getting off the way we wanted it to, I’m confident we can start the year strong as momentum is everything in a seven-round championship.”

Filipe Albuquerque: “I’m looking forward to starting my seventh season with United Autosports in Sebring. Last year we were super competitive – United won and, although not our car, we were really strong from the start. It’s a new beginning because we have a new teammate, and the car is a little bit different because of the new regulations so we have to adapt – but motivation is high, going again with Phil Hanson, and Frederick. Whenever I’m driving, it’s a good day so I can’t wait.”

Frederick Lubin: “I’m super excited to get going in Sebring – it’s been a long off season for me so I’m raring to go. It will be my first weekend in the endurance world so there’s a lot to learn, it will be a steep learning curve but I’m with the right people so I’m sure I’ll learn a lot, hopefully take all of that knowledge into the following weekends and together as a team we can pick up a really great result.”

Car #23

Josh Pierson: “It’s great to be headed back to Sebring for the first race of 2023. I’m looking forward to getting the season underway and pushing to build on my rookie campaign. After winning the event last year, I think we have a very strong baseline to work from … and with Tom and Olly, I’m confident we have a line-up that can produce strong results.”

Olly Jarvis: “I can’t wait to get the season started - especially at Sebring which is such an iconic track and one that pushes the driver and car to the limit. With Josh in his second year and the addition of Tom Blomqvist, I feel we have the capabilities to go out and repeat the win from last year. However, we are under no illusions that with such a competitive field, as a team we will have to maximise every last bit of performance to fight for the win!”

Tom Blomqvist: “Really pumped to start the WEC season – it feels like we’ve been waiting an eternity! Looking at last year, the team had a fantastic race, grabbing the win so I’d be disappointed with anything but the same this time round! Obviously it’s my first race with United Autosports but I’m confident I’ll fit in nicely and hopefully we can achieve another good result with my teammates Josh and Olly.”

Richard DeanSebring is always a very special atmosphere, and this race was kind to us last year when we won the opening round of the 2022 WEC. We are back, hungry for more success and with two cars that are both capable of winning this race.
