Carl Breeze and Luke Davenport tested United Autosports’ Audi R8 LMS ultra GT3 car at Donington Park today (16th October)

The racing duo won the chance to drive the team’s British GT winning car after securing wins during the 2014 Ginetta GT4 Supercup – Carl winning four races and Luke two.

The pair visited the Leicestershire track just four days after the final round of the GT4 championship at Brands Hatch GP circuit where they combined to win the 2014 Ginetta GT4 Supercup Championship for United Autosports – United’s first team championship win. They led the standings since round 11 of the 27-race series and won the title by 163-points. Carl and Luke finished third and sixth in the driver’s standings.

Carl Breeze, Driver, United Autosports:

“Driving the Audi was without doubt the most fun I have ever had in a race car, it was awesome. I got faster and faster with each run and it’s something I would love to drive in the future, it’s a proper piece of kit. I’d like to say a big thanks to everyone at United. It was great to have this reward for my efforts this year.”

Luke Davenport, Driver, United Autosports:

“The test has been an absolutely brilliant experience. I have been aspiring to drive the Audi ever since I was first introduced to United Autosports during my first race weekend three years ago. The car turned out to be all that I had hoped it would be. I was pleased with my data and I think both Carl and I performed to the team’s expectations. I would like to thank everyone at United for giving me the opportunity to compete in such an awesome piece of kit.”

Richard Dean, Team Owner and Managing Director, United Autosports:

“It was great to be able to give Luke and Carl the chance to drive the Audi R8 LMS ultra GT3 car. They have both impressed us this year, not just with the wins but the consistent point scoring and podium positions throughout the season. It was a good way to reward them for winning the team championship for us. They have both expressed an interest in GT racing to me so hopefully this test has given them an insight into what to expect.”
