Breeze & Davenport In Search Of Success In Scotland

  • Breeze & Davenport look to make headway in Drivers’ title race

United Autosports’ Carl Breeze and Luke Davenport head for the latest Michelin Ginetta GT4 SuperCup races at Knockhill with completely differing experiences of the Scottish venue. While Breeze is a past multiple Knockhill winner, team-mate Davenport has never previously been to track let alone raced on it.

Carl and Luke are placed second and sixth respectively in the Drivers’ standings with United Autosports leading the Teams’ division by 137pts. The duo have already scored 24 top-six placings between them.

#2 Blue Chip – Ginetta G55

Carl Breeze (GB)

Age: 35. Born & Lives: King’s Lynn, England.

“Knockhill is like a kart circuit, you don’t have a minute’s peace as one corner soon follows the next! Get car and driver in the groove and the track becomes a great rollercoaster ride – get it wrong and it feels like a nightmare as your car smashes against the high kerbs. I enjoyed a double Ginetta victory there in 2012 and my aim to emulate that success once again.”

#23 Duo / Henderson Insurance Brokers – Ginetta G55

Luke Davenport (GB)

Age: 21. Born: Cambridge, England. Lives: Little Gransden nr St. Neots & Oxford, England.

“I’ve never been to Knockhill before so I expect the learning curve to be quite steep, in a similar way to the Croft weekend. However, I think the circuit will suit our set-up and I really hope to get back among the frontrunners, where I feel I deserve to be.

Richard Dean, Team Owner and Managing Director, United Autosports:

“At the previous rounds at Snetterton we extending our lead in the Teams’ championship while Carl moved up to second in the Drivers’ standings so we are hoping to build on that at Knockhill. Luke is holding strong in sixth but I’m sure he will start working his way up the standings too. Carl reaches his 100th SuperCup start at Knockhill so hopefully he can match that with some good results over the weekend and celebrate this amazing achievement in style!”
