United Autosports are pleased to confirm that Bailey Voisin and Josh Caygill will join their European Le Mans Series LMP3 team for the 2022 season.

Bailey returns to the team after a hugely successful debut with United Autosports last year racing in the GT4 European Series. Bailey, along with Charlie Fagg, scored three wins and five podiums throughout the year, winning both the Teams’ and Drivers’ Championship at the end of the six-round series.

Bailey will be joined by newcomer to the team, Josh Caygill. Josh most recently raced in the 2021 Porsche Carrera Cup GB but has also raced in the British Touring Car Championship, as well as making several appearances in GT endurance racing.

Both Bailey and Josh have been testing the Ligier JS P320 with United Autosports ahead of their debut in the European Le Mans Series, which begins in April at Paul Ricard, France. Bailey tested the Ligier JS P320 at Portimao at the end of last year as a reward for winning the GT4 European Series, with Josh testing with the team in Aragon this week.

The team are still considering their options for the third driver that will complete the line up in the #2 Ligier JS P320.

Bailey Voisin:

“I am extremely excited to be rejoining the United Autosports family for another year and can’t wait to get behind the wheel of the LMP3 car. A huge thank you to everyone who made this possible.”

Josh Caygill:

“I’m delighted to be signing with United Autosports for 2022 ELMS. I’m hoping we can have a good go at trying to get some trophies this season and be at the sharp-end, involved in some good on-track battles. I really appreciate the opportunity from Richard, and everyone involved and I’m looking forward to working with Bailey this year. I can’t wait to get started now.”

Zak Brown:

“I’m pleased to welcome Bailey back to the team for 2022. He did a brilliant job for us last year in GT4 and I have no doubt that will transfer to LMP3 racing. I’d also like to welcome Josh to our team. He has raced in a variety of cars so I am excited to see how he performs alongside Bailey.”

Richard Dean:

“Welcoming Bailey back to the team after his brilliant GT4 season with us last year is something I’m really happy about and I am looking forward to seeing him transition across to our Ligier prototype. He performed extremely well at our test in Portimao at the end of last season so I’m confident of his performance in the ELMS. Josh is a fellow Yorkshireman, so there’s already a good connection there. I have watched Josh race in various UK national series for a number of years. I think the two of them are determined to fight hard for the championship in their debut season of the ELMS.”
