1990 RALT RT34 MUGEN-HONDA
Mika Häkkinen’s 1990 British Formula 3 Championship winning Marlboro sponsored, West Surrey Racing entered car. The “Flying Finn” recorded nine wins in the 17-race series, 11 pole-positions and 10 fastest race laps.
Häkkinen's reward for a dominant season in which he posted an incredible 15 podiums and just one retirement, was a Lotus F1 “seat” in 1991. Mika drove this car at Macau in 1990, under the Marlboro Team Theodore banner, winning the opening heat.
Schumacher ledHäkkinen on the final lap of the actual F3 Grand Prix but Mika spun into the barriers when the two collided which severely damaged the Ralt’s “tub”.
