Racing career

Yasser has had a lifelong interest in cars and motorsport – however, the turning point for him getting behind the wheel as a racing driver was when he started building a race track.

Now co-owner of The Bend Motorsport Park in Adelaide, Yasser has been racing in GT3 since 2018. He won his first major title the following year in the 2019 Audi R8 LMS Cup with two wins, five podiums and a fastest lap over 10 races. The final round in Sepang, Malaysia was to become a career highlight for the Australian-Palestinian driver, who started second on the grid in difficult wet conditions and went on to take the win.

In 2021, Yasser became the Pro-Am GT World Challenge Australia Champion, with six wins and eight podiums over 10 races. The following year, he won the Pro-Am championship once again with five wins and eight podiums to boot.

At the end of the 2022 season, Yasser joined United Autosports at the Bahrain International Circuit for two days of LMP2 testing in preparation for the 2023 Asian Le Mans Series, where he celebrated a second place finish in Abu Dhabi with co-drivers Garnet Patterson and Olly Jarvis.
