The Bend Motorsport Park GT Circuit
Yasser has had a lifelong interest in cars and motorsport – however, the turning point for him getting behind the wheel as a racing driver was when he started building a race track.
Now co-owner of The Bend Motorsport Park in Adelaide, Yasser has been racing in GT3 since 2018. He won his first major title the following year in the 2019 Audi R8 LMS Cup with two wins, five podiums and a fastest lap over 10 races. The final round in Sepang, Malaysia was to become a career highlight for the Australian-Palestinian driver, who started second on the grid in difficult wet conditions and went on to take the win.
In 2021, Yasser became the Pro-Am GT World Challenge Australia Champion, with six wins and eight podiums over 10 races. The following year, he won the Pro-Am championship once again with five wins and eight podiums to boot.
At the end of the 2022 season, Yasser joined United Autosports at the Bahrain International Circuit for two days of LMP2 testing. Now, he’s entering his first LMP2 race with the team at the 2023 Asian Le Mans Series.
It's nice to drive such an advanced piece of machinery with a sophisticated operation like United Autosports.

asian le mans series
In 2023, Yasser Shahin is racing with United Autosports for the first time, contesting the 2023 Asian Le Mans Series with Oliver Jarvis and Garnet Patterson. The Bend Motorsport Park hosted one round of Asian Le Mans in 2020 – now Yasser is in the hot seat, going for the Asian title over four rounds in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. As a nod to Yasser’s motorsport connections, the #23 car will sport a special orange and black livery in the UAE, the distinctive colours of The Bend.
Yasser is an Entrepreneur and part owner of The Bend Motorsport Park in Adelaide. When he’s not working or racing, he enjoys gardening and growing his own food – giving him time to think, away from the roar of the track.
