Racing career

The son of a racer, Kay van Berlo grew up around race tracks. So it wasn’t long before he wanted to get behind the wheel and follow in his father’s footsteps, making his racing debut at the age of seven.

Kay went on to win several national titles over an impressive junior career spanning ten years, paving the way for his transition to sportscars.

In 2018, Kay entered the European Le Mans Series, winning two races in the LMP3 class. One year later, he challenged the Asian Le Mans Series with United Autosports – his first championship with the team – securing victory on his second outing at the 4 Hours of Fuji.

With a successful first year in sportscar prototypes under his belt, Kay turned his hand to the Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux, winning on his race debut at Zandvoort in 2019.

The ambitious Dutch driver made his transition to American GT racing in 2021, competing in the Carrera Cup North America and delivering the most race wins within the championship for his team.

In 2022, Kay kicked the season off with a race win at the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona (LMP3 class). He also contested the European Le Mans Series (LMP3) with United Autosports and the Carrera Cup North America with Kelly Moss Road and Race.
