Gerry’s passion for motorsport tracks back to his teenage years when he discovered road racing. From then on, he was hooked - he wanted to be a racer. Fast forward to the 1980s and Gerry attended the Barber Racing School to hone his driving skills and bring his dream to life.

Now, Gerry has been racing in Spec, Open Wheel and Sports Prototyes for more than 25 years. He’s contested the Star Mazda Series, IMSA Lites and the F2000 Championship Series, and celebrated on the podium more than 20 times.

In 2021, Gerry joined United Autosports for the Le Mans Cup season, racing alongside Australian pro Scott Andrews and claiming sixth in the championship. The following year, Gerry returned to the American racing scene, contesting the 2022 IMSA SportsCar WeatherTech Championship (LMP3 class). In 2023, Gerry and co-driver Scott returned to United Autosports for another season in the Michelin Le Mans Cup, celebrating P5 at Road To Le Mans.

In 2021, Gerry made his debut with United Autosports, racing the #22 Ligier JS P320 car in the Michelin Le Mans Cup. His first season with the team got off to a flying start with a P2 finish and podium celebrations at the opening round in Barcelona (read the race report). Later that year, Gerry and Scott went one better, clinching victory in Round 3 at the Temple of Speed (read the race report). In 2023, the American-Australian duo returned to the European racing scene in the United Autosports LMP3 car, celebrating P5 at the Road To Le Mans race - their best result of the season.

Gerry lives in Minnesota with his wife, Marcia. Together, they enjoy retired life – Gerry having worked in financial services throughout his professional career – travelling to his racing commitments around the USA and Europe.
