European Le Mans Series- Portimao LMP2

At the final race of the season, Phil Hanson, Jonathan Aberdein and Tom Gamble secured the win at Portimao. Having scored three podiums throughout the season, it was a perfect way to close the season on the top step of the podium. The team sealed second in the LMP2 championship, also securing the team's invitation back to 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2022.

Phil Hanson started in second and almost immediately took the lead at the first corner. A smooth race saw the team take their sixth WEC win, the third most by an LMP2 team. It also marked Phil Hanson's sixth win, the most by any British driver.

Not only did the team finish on the top step of the LMP2 podium today, but their solid effort during the six-hour race also put them on the overall podium in third place.

FIA World Endurance Championship - Bahrain

We finished 2019 in the best way possible, by winning our first World Championship race. Phil Hanson and Paul Di Resta had put our Oreca 07 on pole position and we ran a relatively trouble free race leading 242 laps  - the most ever in WEC by an LMP2 winner outside the Le Mans 24 Hours, and the second highest in overall class history. That result sent us soaring up the championship standings to second. Only three points behind the leader.

Not only did we finish second at Portimao with our LMP2 team, but our LMP3 team also finished the year on the podium with a second place finish for the #2 crew. They finished third on the road, but were promoted to second after post-race checks.
